For this home in Stanardsville, I crafted a story that encouraged potential buyers to look beyond the home's condition, since it needed significant work, and instead fall in love with the neighborhood. The strategy worked: we received multiple offers on the first day of listing and sold for $20,000 over the asking price.
But that isn't all I did. I hired cleaners to give the home a thorough cleaning. I brought in a landscaper to trim and remove trees that were too close to the building. I even hired a team of movers to clear out all the furniture and items left behind.
